We choose red cedar for this format not for prestige but for character: a soft aroma, grain that stays stable in Medan humidity, and colour that deepens with use. Two bench tiers give two temperature zones — kids and first-timers sit low (±70°C), experienced bathers climb up (±85°C).

The client favourite: two full-height glass walls that merge the sauna into a family spa room. A digital control panel outside sets temperature, timer and lighting — parents can pre-heat the cabin before a family session. All wiring is heat-resistant SiHF with a dedicated breaker and ELCB.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a 4-person sauna require 7,700 VA?

A 6 kW heater needs safe headroom above normal household load. On 5,500 VA, running the sauna alongside two AC units will almost certainly trip the main breaker. The PLN upgrade to 7,700 VA follows official tariffs and we handle the paperwork — many newer homes in Medan Polonia already sit at this level.

Do two glass walls waste heat?

Tempered 8 mm glass does shed heat faster than an insulated timber wall, so we compensate with the right heater size and a bench layout set back from the glass. The consumption difference is small compared to the visual effect — clients almost always approve this upgrade once they see an example.

How much does the 4-person sauna cost installed?
