At this size a sauna stops being a “hot box” and becomes a pavilion. U-shaped two-tier benches seat eight without crowding, the 9 kW heater brings the 17 m³ volume up in ±40 minutes, and adjustable wooden ventilation grilles keep the air fresh through long sessions.

We treat the outside just as seriously: a light concrete foundation, local bengkirai decking that shrugs off rain (the one place we use local hardwood — outside, never inside), an overhanging roof to shield the facade from Medan downpours, and a small terrace for cooling off between rounds. The full package includes a dedicated electrical run from the main house.

Is my garden big enough for the 8-person cabin?

Allow a 4 × 3.5 m area: the 3 × 2.4 m cabin plus terrace and clearance to fences and planting. During the free survey we check concrete access for the foundation and the cable route from the main house — those two decide feasibility more than anything.

Why bengkirai for the decking instead of cedar?

Outside the cabin the rules flip: you need hardness and weather resistance, not softness. Local bengkirai excels there at a sensible price. Inside stays thermowood and aspen — local hardwoods are too dense and hot for surfaces skin touches.

What does the 8-person cabin cost?

Indicatively IDR 150–200 million — above the standard outdoor range because of the size, the panoramic window and the terrace. It includes the foundation, decking, Harvia 9 kW heater and a written 2-year warranty. The standard outdoor format is on the outdoor sauna page.
