How hot does a sauna get?
A dry sauna runs at 70–90°C with low 10–20% humidity. A steam room is the opposite: 40–45°C at nearly 100% humidity. Infrared cabins are the gentlest at 45–60°C, because the panels warm your body directly rather than the air around it.
How much electricity does a sauna use?
A home dry-sauna heater typically draws 6–9 kW while running. Infrared cabins are far lighter: 1.7–2.4 kW, comparable to a few air-conditioning units. We break down realistic monthly costs in our sauna cost guide.
Will I need a PLN power upgrade?
Often yes: older Medan homes sit at 2200–5500 VA, while a 6–9 kW heater needs 7700–11000 VA. The upgrade is billed at official PLN rates and paid by the owner; we handle the paperwork with you. If upgrading is impossible, an infrared sauna is the practical way out.
How long does construction take?
A home sauna takes 2–4 weeks on site plus 1–2 weeks for material delivery; an infrared cabin needs 1–2 days; an outdoor sauna 1–2 weeks of assembly; a steam room 3–5 weeks because the waterproofing must cure fully; commercial projects run 4–8 weeks.
What wood do you use?
Interiors are imported wood: western red cedar, Scandinavian spruce or thermowood. Benches are aspen or abachi — low thermal conductivity, so they never burn skin. Local hardwoods like ulin and bengkirai belong on outdoor decking only, never inside the hot room.
What does monthly maintenance cost?
At 2–3 sessions a week: a dry sauna costs roughly IDR 200–500K per month in electricity and light upkeep, an infrared cabin IDR 100–250K, a steam room IDR 300–600K. Indicative figures — they depend on your tariff and how often you heat up.
Dry sauna or steam room — which should I choose?
They feel completely different: a dry sauna bites at 70–90°C yet stays easy to breathe; a steam room wraps you in 40–45°C fog. Construction-wise the steam room is more complex because it needs full waterproofing. Compare both on our steam room page.
How is infrared different from a traditional sauna?
Infrared panels warm the body directly at 45–60°C, are ready within minutes and draw only 1.7–2.4 kW — the practical choice for homes with limited power. A traditional dry sauna gives the fuller 70–90°C heat ritual. Details on the infrared sauna page.
What warranty do you provide?
The structure carries a written 2-year warranty. Harvia, Sawo and Tylo heaters come with a 1–2 year factory warranty, and spare parts are available through us. Every handover includes a full test heat-up together with you.
Can a sauna go into an apartment or ruko?
Yes, with caveats. An infrared cabin is the safest bet: 1.7–2.4 kW and no structural changes. A dry sauna needs a power and ventilation check; a steam room demands serious waterproofing, so it suits a ruko ground floor better than an apartment unit. Start from the home sauna page for the options.
Do you work in Berastagi?

What is the rough budget?
