Darkened thermowood gives the interior a calm, deep character — and it is technically even more stable against humidity, having been heat-treated. We build the contrast with light: warm LED under both bench tiers, and one onyx accent wall backlit from behind. Real onyx, chosen slab by slab at our stone supplier.

The technical side matches the visuals: an 8 kW heater with a digital ceiling sensor (stable readings within ±1°C), neatly hidden SiHF wiring, and ventilation sized for the 12.6 m³ volume. With an 11,000 VA requirement, this class runs smoothest in newer homes — or we arrange the PLN upgrade as part of the project.

Is an onyx panel safe at sauna temperatures?

Yes — onyx actually likes the dry environment of a Finnish sauna. We mount it away from the heater’s direct radiation, on a frame that allows thermal expansion. The backlight is high-temperature LED behind the panel, not a regular lamp.

Why thermowood for the premium class?

Thermowood is timber heat-treated to ±212°C with no chemicals: more stable, more humidity-resistant, with an even deep-brown tone. For Medan’s year-round humidity it is the most durable choice in its class — and the most elegant.

What does a 6-person sauna like this cost?

Indicatively IDR 110–150 million installed, depending on the onyx area and finishing. That includes the Harvia 8 kW heater, digital controls, lighting, safe wiring and a written 2-year warranty. Compare formats on the pricing page.
